Kyphi Egyptian Incense

As we know, according to the inscriptions on the walls of Egyptian temples, Kyphi was the final temple offering of the day, burnt at dusk and into the night. Burning in the evening, as people were going to bed, may have been the catalyst for achieving transcendence or visions through dreams.

What does Egyptian Kyphi smell like?

It may include honey, wine, raisins, myrrh, juniper berries, papyrus, pine, calamus, rush, aspalathus, mastic, bitumen, sorrel, cardamom, cassia, cinnamon, saffron, spikenard, bdellium, mint, henna, or mimosa. This oil-based interpretation of the incense is rich, spicy, and mysterious.
