Fluorite Properties & Meaning

The name Fluorite comes from the Latin word “fluere” which means “to flow”.  This crystal was named by Carlo Antonio Napione in 1797. Fluorite is a member of the quartz family and is one of the most collected crystals in the world. It comes in many beautiful colors. Fluorite is often known as the “Genius Stone” or “Stone of mental clarity” because it is believed to bring a positive mental state and help amplify a person’s consciousness.
